The pupil's personal development is excellent
Independent Schools Inspectorate Report 2011
Independent Schools' Inspectorate Report 2011:
"The pupils’ personal development is excellent, with pupils often showing maturity beyond their years in the way that they look after each other and any visitors. Relationships within the school are very positive, and all adults are excellent role models. Safeguarding the welfare of the pupils is of paramount concern to every member of staff. All requisite procedures and policies are in place, and staff are trained appropriately."

"
When visitors come and spend time with us invariably what strikes them is the warm and welcoming atmosphere, with both staff and children happy and enjoying being in school. I suspect that lots of factors may contribute to this but central is the strong Christian ethos that underpins everything about us. This is worked out from the belief that each child is unique, created, loved and valued by God, and so by us. Whether or not everyone who belongs to the school shares this Christian faith, they very much value our principles.
With a school population of 260 the sense of family - like comunity can be developed in such a way that it is possible for all children to know each other, and also be cared for through our very strong house system. From the youngest who join us at age 7 through to those at age 13 whose next step will be on to Senior School, there is a greatly appreciated emphasis on the right combination of supervision, encouragement and initiative to ensure that education becomes in reality the whole of life. Due to this our children are able to move towards reaching their potential whether in the classroom, the music school, the games field, the ICT suites, or just as importantly, in learning what it means to exist in a community, to celebrate success and handle failure, or to look beyond their personal needs to the needs of others. We expect much from our children simply because we know that each one has so much to offer in who they are as much as what they can do."
