Reaching Orphans for Care - ROC - is an orphan sponsorship scheme through which pupils, friends and families of Dean Close support over 100 children in primary and secondary school education in Uganda. ROC also provides scholarships for Higher Education to support future leaders in their local community. ROC has a full time pastoral worker who meets up regularly with all the children sponsored to ensure that they are receiving essential holistic care.
70% of the academic prizes given by Nyakatukura at the end 2010 went to orphans sponsored by ROC.
