Notice of leaving
A full term's notice, in writing, must be sent to the Bursar otherwise a term's fees will be charged in lieu of notice.
For the avoidance of doubt, notice received after the first day of any term is not effective for removal at the end of that term.
In the nature of School recruitment it is very unlikely that a vacancy can be filled at short notice. Hence, in fairness to other and to ensure the continued financial health of the School, this condition will be applied in all but the most exceptional circumstances.
Provisional Notice
Provisional notice will not normally be accepted although if the uncertainty is beyond the parents' control this may be possible by prior agreement with the Bursar.
Exam Results
Where transfer between parts of the School is conditional on exam results or academic or other assessments undertaken at the School's request then there is no requirement for a term's notice.
Notice of Changes
Notice of changes between day, day-boarding and boarding may only be given after a place has been offered by the Registrar / Director of Admissions. A term's notice will usually be required or the difference between the fee rates will be charged in lieu.
Extra Activities
A term's notice in writing must be received by the Bursar before discontinuing any extra activity for which a charge is made.
