County Champions and National Hockey finalists
Hockey success
Hockey has been played at Dean Close for over 100 years. In that time the School has produced Olympic Gold medalists, national winners and national players. Our outstanding success on the hockey field in the last academic year once again confirmed our reputation as one of the top schools for hockey in the country. Both the boys and girls U11 and U13 teams have enjoyed recent success at all levels. The Colts A team won the County Championship for the 9th time in 10 years and went on to become West of England Champions for the second consecutive year. The U13 girls team also won the County Championship and went on the finish 2nd at the West of England Championship, to progress to the National Finals. The U11 girls team finished as runners up in the County Championship.
