Kindergarten and Nursery (Part time) - £43.25 per day; £26.35 per morning; £21.65 per afternoon.

Fees are based on the sessions booked for the month and are invoiced monthly in arrears.  Charges will be made for non attendance due to illness or other reasons of absence.

Fees are payable termly in advance or monthly by Direct Debit (see monthly payment information sheet for further details). 

The Kindergarten and Nursery day runs from 8.45am to 3.25pm with a creche operating outside these hours.  Children may attend from 8.15am to 5.00pm.  Morning session hours are 8.45am to 12.30pm and include lunch.  Afternoon session hours are 1.00pm to 3.25pm and exclude lunch.  Hours of attendance for other Pre-Preparatory years:

Reception finishes at 3.25pm

Years 1 & 2 finish at 3.30pm

  • All fees for external exams/assessments
  • Individual learning support tuition

3.   Optional Extras

Please note that a full term's notice is required in writing to discontinue any optional extra.

a) Music: Charges per term

  • £180 for individual lesson
  • £34.00 for use of a school instrument

b) Incidentals:

  • Extra private tuition
  • Visits to plays, concerts, etc outside the curriculum

c) Co-curricular activities

  • £  32.00 for Speech and Drama per term
  • £  73.00 for Ballet/Modern/Tap Dance (1 class a week) per term
  • £109.00 for Ballet/Modern/Tap Dance (2 classes a week) per term
  • £141.00 for Ballet/Modern/Tap Dance (all 3 classes a week) per term
  • £  35.50 for Learning Support per hour
  • £  56.00 for Learning Support Assessment

4.      Insurance

a)   Scholars are automatically enrolled in the following insurance schemes, unless we receive written instructions to the contrary before the end of the first week of term.

  1. The School Fees Refund Scheme (loss of fees through sickness) at 1% of fees
  2. The School's group membership of BUPA, at £63.00 per term
  3. The Pupils' Personal Accident Insurance Scheme at £3.75 per term
  4. Personal Effects Insurance Scheme at £10.00 per term
  5. Denplan scheme (accidents and emergencies) at £3.60 per term 
     

  • b)   Please note that personal possessions are not covered by the School insurance.  Parents should check whether their own insurance covers such items whilst at School or take advantage of the Pupils' Personal Effects Insurance Scheme.

    5. Payment

    a)   All fees and monies due from parents and guardians of pupils are required on or before the first day of the relevant term.  Payments by cheque should be forwarded to The Bursary, Dean Close School, Shelburne Road, Cheltenham, Glos GL51 6HE.  If payment is late without just cause an administrative charge of £50 will be made, in addition to a late payment charge of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

    b)   A charge of £50 will be made for each re-presented cheque or payment.

    c)   The Trustees reserve the right to request the withdrawal of a pupil if bills are not paid on time.

    6.   Leaving

    a)   Parents must give notice in writing before the start of the preceding term of their intention to remove a pupil from the School.  If such notice is not given, a full term's notice in lieu of notice, without the benefit of any concessions, will be payable.  This notice should be received by the Bursar on or before the first day of term.  This also applies to pupils of DCPPS who are presumed to be going up to DCPS, unless notice is received.  Parents are advised to seek early advice from the Bursar when considering removing pupils from School.

    b)   The Trustees will endeavour to give at least one term's notice of a rise in fees; however, they reserve the right to impose a surcharge at any time in the event of a sudden and unpredictable rise in school running costs.
