Independent Schools' Inspectorate Report 2011:
"Pupils' moral development is excellent and they demonstrate a growing understanding of the difference between right and wrong. Strong role models and the high expectations of staff reinforce this aspect of the pupils' development. Pupils understand the code of behaviour expected, reinforced through 'golden rules', which effectively promote the development of a strong moral sense."
At Dean Close Pre-Preparatory School, the Christian ethos permeates the whole life of the School. We believe that every child is unique, created and loved by God. Consequently, as well as giving each child the opportunity to grow as a whole person through academic work, sport and play, we also also aim to give each child the opportunity to hear about the Christian Faith and to develop an awareness and understanding of diverse cultures within the wider world community.
The role of the School Chaplain
The Rev'd Libby Talbot is the resident chaplain to the whole of Dean Close School and regularly visits the children in the Pre-Preparatory School. The Chaplain is always available to talk to children and families when they need help or guidance.
