Towards a 21st Century Library
Now occupying the original school building, the three levels of the Flecker Library were refurbished in 1997 when it was officially reopened by Dr George Carey, the then Archbishop of Canterbury. In 2012, the library will again experience major renovations to match the changing needs of today’s students and tomorrow’s dynamic professionals. Developments include:
- reorganisation and revitalisation of the library stock
- expanded IT access through additional computers and complete wi-fi coverage
- differentiated learning zones to suit different learning and study styles
- an embedded and progressive independent learning skills development programme
- new digital resources including eBooks, eReaders, academic online databases and an updated Library Catalogue
- an access-anywhere Virtual Library Environment
