Mead House offers girls safe and secure study accommodation in the middle of the school. There is a great sense of community and belonging which creates a lovely, happy and relaxed atmosphere with the House. The Common Room is the social hub for all the year groups but if a more peaceful environment is needed, each girl has a study they share with two or three friends where she can work or just rest and relax.
Mrs Watson devotes her time to listening and chatting to the both the girls and their parents. Communication is vitally important and a Bulletin is sent by her each week to parents giving details of events, collection times and any other information which needs to be relayed to parents. Each girl also has an academic tutor and two Upper Sixth girls with whom they can chat through concerns or raise questions they may have on a daily basis. There is always a friendly face close by.
Successes are always celebrated and morale is high as the girls support each other in different Inter-House or School events. Each year the girls choose a charity they wish to support and arrange a large fund-raising event which they enjoy. Twice a year, the whole House chooses an outing they would like to go on together, ranging from a Laserquest evening to a day at Drayton Manor Park.
The diversity of talent can be seen by the number of trophies won by the girls in sport, music, drama and art related events. Mead House is fun with a competitive House spirit where the girls make life-long friends and enjoy their days at School.
