The Sixth Form Leadership Course is held over a two day period in the Trinity term, after A/AS level examinations, in the Lower Sixth Form. The intention of the Course is to encourage Sixth Formers to think about taking responsibility, improve the quality of decision-making and evaluate the consequences of actions. While the main focus is on how they function in a team, leadership skills are given importance.
Group sessions are very much interactive and focus, amongst other things, on the following:
- Team Dynamics
- Talking and Listening
- Achieving tasks through people
- How people change and grow
- How teams build
- Leadership styles and behaviours
- Support, commitment, motivation
- Securing continuous improvement
