The Bacon Theatre is also responsible for Cheltenham's Open-air Theatre Festival in the idyllic, stone built, Tuckwell Amphitheatre. Tucked away in a secluded corner of Dean Close School, surrounded by lush trees and shrubs, and sheltered from the outside world, this magical venue attracts the very best in touring open-air theatre from across the UK. The festival is held in high esteem locally and is well attended.
Open-air Theatre Festival 2012 runs from 22nd July - 4th August.
