Welcome to the Old Decanian Society web pages There are many reasons why you might have stumbled upon these pages and we do hope you enjoy the content, whether you are old or young, a brief or long-term student here, a former member of staff or an interested browser; maybe you want to reminisce about halcyon days, catch up with lost friends or you might be a prospective parent researching Dean Close. The Society has been in existence since 1891 and there are currently over 4,000 members with whom we are in regular contact, their ages ranging from 18 to nearly 100! We endeavour to provide a first class, personal service to everyone who needs the OD Office. To that end, the Society is very lucky to have a lively committee who work behind the scenes answering correspondence, organising social and sporting events and generally helping to keep the Society prospering and relevant for the benefit of the whole School community past, present and future. Please do keep in touch with news of your doings and whereabouts, and of any OD family and friends you may have. You can simply use the links on the ‘Contact Us’ page to update your news and changes of address. We share our office with the School Archivist who is always keen to receive reminiscences, photos and other memorabilia. If you come across anything connected with Dean Close, which you do not wish to keep, please do contact us before just throwing it away!
