The excitement was palpable as the great day arrived. The children had been so busy getting their stalls ready and advertising them with countless posters dotted around the school.
After a talk from Mr Cahill about the community project in Ethiopia which we were raising money for, the CPA was converted into a cross between Harrods (where you can buy anything you could possibly need) and an African market (where no price was fixed). There was enough food and drink to feed an army with the cake stalls of Mr J Harris and Mr Gould battling for customers. Other stalls which attracted large crowds were Jimmy's Gobstopper (croquet obstacle course), water chug (don't ask!) and the T-Towels. Our brilliant swing band provided the entertainment, the pupils behaved impeccably and we were all thankful that the weather stayed kind.
The grand total raised stands at £2,355 which is a record for our Charity Fair. A massive thank you to all pupils, Form Tutors, staff and parents for making this possible.
