Year Two Science Walk

The Year two children went for a science walk to observe seasonal changes in the environment. They soon found that not very much was growing in the Prep School garden; however Charlie thought that was because his Daddy had picked all the sprouts! The children compared evergreen plants with deciduous trees and discussed the differences. While walking across the field the weather decided to join in and it started to rain rather heavily, so everyone had to escape and shelter in the basecamp of Forest School! Due to the previous night's snow the children were able to find clusters of ice. On their way back to the Pre-Prep everyone washed their wellington boots in the newly formed 'Shelburne Lake'! A great time was had by all, especially when they had hot chocolate back in the classroom.
