I hope you’ve all had a relaxing break and are ready for all that’s in store for this half of the term. This week has been very busy as the Art Scholars enjoyed an oil-painting workshop, the Junior Forms got to grips with Shakespeare’s A midsummer night’s dream during a drama workshop, members of the Chamber Choir visited the Senior School for choral day (which ended in a service in the school chapel) and the U12s and U13s competed in the IAPS Regionals – fingers crossed girls!
Next week is equally busy as the Year 8s have their trial exams for Common Entrance, which they take not only to get into the Senior School, but also to place them in their sets ready for next year. There are home and away matches for hockey and netball; the boys will play Cheltenham College and the girls will play Wycliffe – let’s hope we have nice weather! The week ends with a well-deserved exeat which arrives earlier than normal, just two weeks after the start of term. Still, I am sure everyone is looking forward to it! After exeat, Year 6 depart for their exciting trip to Normandy in France – bon voyage!
