It’s that time of year again, A Level Results Day. This year more than two thirds of all results were graded A* to B.There are some significant success stories, which include six of our pupils gaining 3 A*s or better – a fantastic achievement.

Three pupils who started in Dean Close Preparatory School are going on to take up their offers at Oxford University. There were also a number of pupils who were new to Dean Close in the Sixth Form who have made great strides forward. One girl picked up 3 As, each of which was more than a grade and a half above her value added expectation. It is always rewarding to see pupils who make great progress at all levels, and to see them being rewarded with confirmed places at many of the UK’s top universities.

Headmaster, Bradley Salisbury, said: “As a school, Dean Close aims to provide a superb education of the whole person and it has been a great pleasure to work with this year group in a wide range of co-curricular pursuits and service activities. I am extremely proud of all they have achieved; they have been a terrific year group to work with and I wish them all the very best as they continue their studies at university.”
