In the Trinity Term, Reception were lucky enough to go on a school trip to the Cotswold Wildlife Park. The children were very excited about the visit and the coach ride! On arrival, everyone headed straight for the penguin enclosure to be there in time for feeding. The children thoroughly enjoyed watching the penguins eating the fish and were even spotted on the live web cam by the Year One children and staff back at school!
After ‘splashing around’ with the penguins everyone walked around the park to see the large animals which included rhinos, lions, giraffes, zebras and camels. The giraffes were beautiful and came up very close! After all the excitement it was time to stop for lunch which the children enjoyed outside on picnic tables in the middle of the park. After lunch, one of the highlights of the trip was a train ride. The train took everyone topreviously unseen areas of the park, enabling the children to see lots more animals.
The day was so much fun thatit absolutely flew by and as a special treat everyone enjoyed an ice lolly before heading back to school! The children were impeccably behaved and a credit to the School; the Reception staff were very proud of them.
