Dean Close School is a vibrant and inclusive all-through independent school, welcoming children from 2 years old through to 18 years old. Our exceptional educational journey takes place on a beautiful 50-a*cre site in the heart of Cheltenham, providing an inspiring environment for learning, growth and opportunity on one unified campus.
We currently have over 950 pupils on site, with a dynamic mix of day pupils and boarders who thrive academically, socially and personally throughout their time with us.

We focus on the whole child — considering their academic ability, talents, interests, character, potential and how applicants might contribute to school life. Every application is reviewed individually, and we strive to make the process clear, fair and welcoming.
