Information Evening for Prospective Parents

Dear Parents and Guardians

Families seeking an immediate or unexpected move between schools 

Uncertainty around schooling can be challenging for both parents and children, and our thoughts are with all those who are navigating decisions about next steps. 

At the Dean Close Foundation, we understand that transitions do not always occur neatly or at expected points in the school year.  

Families may be seeking an immediate move, or considering a transition at a non-standard time, and we are experienced in supporting students and parents through these circumstances with care, flexibility, and understanding. 

To provide information and immediate support, we would like to warmly invite families to an Information Evening on Wednesday 28 January at Centenary Hall at the Dean Close Foundation.

The evening will offer an opportunity to meet members of our leadership teams from each of our six schools and also from our Little Trees, our Nursery group, and to learn more about how we assist pupils joining our community at various stages of the academic year. We will outline our comprehensive transition approach, which includes: 

• Strong pastoral support, ensuring students feel safe, known, and supported socially and emotionally 

• Academic transition planning, tailored to individual needs so learning continuity is maintained 

• Experienced staff who work closely with students and families during periods of change 

• Supportive financial packages, available to help ease the pressure families may be experiencing during this time 

Our focus is always on the wellbeing and flourishing of each child. We work closely with families to create thoughtful, personalised transition plans, whether a student is joining us immediately or at a later point outside the usual enrolment cycle. 

We are a Foundation that cares for over 2000 children across our nine nurseries and six schools, providing stability, security and care for the flourishing of all.
