As the Lent Term came to an end a group of 31 pupils and 4 staff flew off to Barcelona for the school hockey tour. On arrival the teams immediately got stuck into some great matches. Firstly they played Atletic Terrassa, followed by Iluro, then Catalonia Hockey club and finally Egara Hockey club. Both sides played three matches in four days, with the boys winning two and losing one and the girls drawing two and winning one. All the matches were closely contested and each provided everyone with the experience of playing hockey on tour. Surprisingly, the girls played against a girl who had been at school in Cheltenham!
Time was also spent off the astro exploring the beautiful city. Pupils and staff enjoyed time at the beach, a tour of the Picasso Museum, a trip around the Nou Camp and some wonderful shopping on La Ramblas.
