Wilton House is the mixed Junior boarding house, designed specifically to meet the needs of the Prep School’s younger boarders aged 7-10. A large traditional Georgian villa, it has four floors meaning there are five dorms, currently three for boys and two for girls, several well-equipped playrooms and a large family kitchen, where the children can relax, play and feel at home.
Adults are accommodated on each floor and there are a minimum of three staff around at any one time, so the children always have a grown up to talk to and play with. Wilton garden offers a wide grassy space where the children can bounce on the trampoline, adventure in the playhouse or race around on one of the four go-karts. Beyond the garden the children have supervised access to the playing fields, amphitheatre, brook and wooded area, where a wide variety of games and hot-chocolate are often enjoyed.
We hope that when the children leave Wilton, to go to the Senior houses, they will have fond memories of all that makes childhood fun.
