A great deal has happened since we returned from half term. Year 7 enjoyed their second healthy living day, during which they made delicious flapjacks, learnt about developing a healthy body image, how to put up a tent and how to use a Trangia Stove. Year 6 went to Portsmouth and explored HMS Victory, they also went to the ‘Adventure Zone’ and learnt how to land a helicopter, train to be in the marines and discovered interesting facts about the history of the Royal Navy.

There have been two tug of war competitions; one Oaksey Vs Yeaman and one Deacon Vs Boarders, the winners were Yeaman and the Boarders!!! Special mentions to Matthew Chan who was a rock at the back for Caldecote and Una Quayle who was very determined whilst also having fun for Yeaman.

Congratulations to Lucy Humphreys and Mimi Gleeson who both played up for the U14 girls’ hockey team in the National finals and came 3rd in the country. Very well done!
