In their first Chapel Service of the new School year, Dean Close children were asked what they were grateful for. “Spending time with pets, a good life and returning back to school safely,” were some of their replies.

Chaplain, Libby Talbot, went on to explain what authority means – and what Jesus’ authority means. With the assistant chaplains acting out a soap powder advert, Rev Talbot demonstrated how the ‘Jesus’ brand of washing powder did exactly what it said it would, whereas the ‘Law’ brand of washing powder left clothes grey and dirty. This signified Jesus spoke the truth.

The children celebrated with a fabulous Mexican Praise Wave and the congregation were treated to some wonderful singing from the Senior Choir, now with 80 children. What a fabulous way to start the year.
