Pupils and staff gathered in the Quad to buy cakes and homemade treats to raise funds to support the relief efforts in the Bahamas following the devastation of the islands by Hurricane Dorian. Sixth Form pupil Bianca, who moved to Dean Close from the Bahamas said “the funds will go to a local orphanage that just took in 17 new children after the hurricane. It was amazing to have so many students and teachers baking, including Mr Salisbury!”
The bake sale raised £320 and many are still donating even after the cakes have all been eaten! Well done to Bianca and her classmates for organising such a successful fundraiser.
