The Pre-Prep Christingle Service in the School Chapel was a wonderful way to finish the Michaelmas Term and this year everyonewalked across to the Chapel in the snow, creating a wonderful Christmas scene. Pupils and staff were joined by parents, family and friends to celebratetogether and the Squirrel Strings played‘In the Bleak Midwinter’ as guests came into the Chapel.

Each child, from Squirrel Kittens to Year Two, made a Christingle and some of these were lit at the front of chapel.Throughout the Service the children sangwonderfully, with the Singing Squirrels giving a special performance ofthe wonderful carol,‘Christmas Candle’. The School Chaplain, Rev’d Ash, explained the meaning behind the Christingle orange with the help of some Year Two children and everyone watched theChristingles being lit! At the end of the service, we were delighted to host the Prep School Chamber Choir who sang ‘Cradle Hymn’ beautifully.
