At the end of term, Pre-Prep held their annual Christingle service in the School Chapel and were delighted to welcome parents, friends and invited guests.  It is a very special service and all the pupils enjoy making and learning about their Christingle orange and watching some of them being lit at the front of the Chapel.

The service began with Squirrel Strings playing Jingle Bells and Angels We Have Heard on High beautifully, followed by the whole of Pre-Prep singing Away in a Manger, with parents joining in after verse 1.  Mr Ash explained the meaning of the Christingle orange with the help of some of our oldest pupils and everyone was amused by some of the hats he had brought with him as props, including a turkey hat!  Prayers and readings were also led by Year Two pupils and then the Pre-Prep choir sang Who’ll Light a Candle just before the Christingle candles were lit.

We were thrilled that once again our Prep School Chamber Choir came to the service and sang a lovely version of Infant Lowly in harmony.  The service was a fitting start to Advent focusing on the very special gift of Jesus at Christmas.
