With so many spectacular Christmas events taking place at school over this last week of term, it has been hard not to join with the children in feeling intoxicated with excitement! As festive music and drama envelop DCPS, it is understandable that classroom teaching might also be slightly tinsel-fringed too – Christmas Maths puzzles; Snowflake Science; Wintery poetry and perhaps even a look at the Geography of Lapland? However, it is the times of quiet reflection during our chapel services, when I have been most impressed with our pupils. They have shown an understanding and appreciation of the most significant gift at this time, as we have focused on the true meaning of Christmas joy. Wishing you all a relaxing and reflective break, as well as a very Happy Christmas!
