Sixth Form pupils Aisha Shinkafi and Samantha Smellie have taken on a new Community Action project this term. The two girls have been working with GARAS (Gloucestershire Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers) to collect Christmas presents for refugees this festive season. Rachel Cheshire, Women’s Case Worker for GARAS, was extremely grateful to collect the gifts, saying “more refugees will be arriving over the next few days and this will be such treat for them”. Well done to the girls for organising this during what has been a busy term, it is a very worthwhile cause and we hope to continue the support the charity in the future.
