Since half term life has been very busy throughout the School. Years 6, 7 and 8 all had exams and so school had a different atmosphere as everyone was revising hard, but when they were all over you could almost hear the whole school take a huge sigh of relief. At the end of exams there was a whole school BBQ on Wilton Lawn and Year 8 went to Cheltenham Lido for the afternoon. The week ended with Battle of the Bands, where bands from Year 4 to Year 8 learn and play songs, the highlight is when Year 8 battle it out to be crowned the overall winner. This year’s well-deserved winner was the new Simon Cowell boy band, of 8O, with their version of ‘The Best Song Ever!’
The following week all of the Year 8 pupils journeyed to Croyde, in Devon, for a week of activities such as mountain biking, surfing, coasteering and ringoing. The weather was amazing, apart from one night on the campsite when Storm Hector blew the main marquee over. The rest of the School had normal lessons but we can promise that when they get to Year 8 they will love their Leavers’ Trip.
