The Pre-Prep End of Year Celebration Assembly had somewhat of a different feel this year, as for the first time in the schools history, the assembly was pre-recorded and made into a film for children to watch in their classrooms and at home with parents.

The assembly gave Dr Shelley, Headmistress,  the opportunity to celebrate the academic year that has passed with all of her pupils, whilst at the same time reflecting on how well the children have coped with facing adversity due to the changes in education and school life in light of Covid19.

We also had the pleasure of a lovely address from the school warden, Mrs Taylor, who’s speech carried the theme of  ‘Superheroes’, and how every one of the pupils, parents and teachers are all Superheroes to have coped so well during the final term.

The assembly then saw the presentation of ‘moving up bears’ to all of our Year 2’s that have now left the Pre-Prep school, and will either be moving up to Prep school in September, or on to pastures new. We wish them all the very best of luck and strength to face the new challenges ahead.

The assembly then closed with the final word from The Chaplain, Rev. Ash, who led us all in prayer.

If you haven’t watched the assembly yet, you will find it available in your child’s google classroom, under the Assemblies tab.
