Changes to RVW

We are delighted that from January 2021, class RVW will become RVP and Miss Walker will be known by her married name, Mrs Potter.  Congratulations Mr & Mrs Potter!

Passports & Birth Certificates

Dean Close School have recently submitted their Visa Licence renewal, which we are required to do every 4 years in order to keep our Licence going forward.  Whilst the UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) have not stated that an Inspection will be carried out as part of this renewal process, we have received information that this may be the case in the very near future.

To comply with the UKVI regulations we are now required to make sure the records of ALL pupils in Dean Close School are up to date and that we hold copies of Passports to prove the nationality of a child and full Birth Certificates (with names of both parents) to confirm full parental responsibility and safeguard your child.

As stated on the Registration form, a Passport and Birth Certificate should be submitted at the time of registration.  Until recently, if only one document was submitted, the second document was not requested, however we have been informed that it is now a legal requirement to hold copies of both documents.

We have checked the documents held and we contacted the parents of children whose documents are missing by Clarion on Monday 14th December.  If we have requested these documents from you, and you have not sent them in yet, please could I ask you to email a good quality, colour pdf scan of documents as soon as possible to so records can be updated ready for our inspection.  If your child does not hold a Passport please send in a colour scan of parents’ Passports.

If you are unable to scan and email a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate and Passport please contact Lesley Miller on to make arrangements to have your document photocopied in the Pre-Prep Office.

Please only respond to this request if you received the Clarion on Monday 14th December.

Easter Revision Course 2021

Following a year of unprecedented times surrounding Covid-19, our popular Easter Revision Course at Dean Close will be running again in 2021. It has been announced in England, that public Examinations are set to go ahead for both A Level and GCSE. When the country went into a National Lockdown back in March 2020, all school sites were shut down and we moved to home-schooling and learning became virtual. Learning at a distance would have been experienced in a variety of ways for students but whatever their story, students need to be equipped and ready to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding.

We will be here to support your son/daughter in their studies with our Easter Revision Course, which is taking place on the 12th – 16th April 2021. The course is open for A Level and GCSE students and as always, residential and non-residential places are available. We have given the course a slight refresh this year and in addition, will be offering overseas students an online delivery of the course. For further details, please email Lydia Day on: or visit the website: and download the 2021 course brochure.
