The Year Twos had an amazing day ‘on safari’. They all turned up in some fantastic costumes, tigers, lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, crocodiles and safari explorers. Even though the children went on a French Safari treasure hunt they knew that the only shooting of animals that was allowed was with a camera! Many of the children enjoyed capturing images of their friends with their own cameras.
They had an activity booklet which included maths tasks, mazes, dot-to-dot and colouring. Great enthusiasm was shown whilst making sandwiches to take on safari and they also had to decide which fractions would be involved when cutting their sandwiches up.
All of the animal teams cooperated well when on their French hunt, this involved finding all the equipment that they would need then going out to try and find the Big Five that had escaped!!!!!
A great day was had by all!
