The sun shone on our Interschools NSEA SJ event held at Rectory Farm. For the first time the event ran both a Grass Roots ring and the Main Arena, with National and Elite Qualifiers. It was great to be able to run the show in all its glory once again. The day brought schools and riders from near and far.
The Dean Close riders in the heat once again produced some fabulous riding.  In the 90-95cms we jumped three teams. They all went well and there were some gusty performances from our younger riders. The team of Bella Stevens, Mimi Payton, Alice Barrow, yr12 and Emily Roberts yr13 produced the only school team clear of the day and take the win and their 3rd consecutive National qualification. Bella Stevens was individual 2nd
The Team. of Bella Stevens, on her 2nd horses Katherine Naylor yr9 and Freddie Ogden Metherell yr9 took Team 4th and qualified for the NSEA Plate Championships very proud of this young team and horses.
The 1-1.05m was a tough track with poles dropping for even our most established combinations. It was the younger riders who kept their cool to ride great rounds to take Team 2nd and book their place to the NSEA National Finals. Oliver Dodman yr11, Katherine Naylor yr9, Gabriel Mattle yr8 (DCP)  and Bella Stevens yr12.
Mimi Payton, Alice Barrow. Bella Stevens and Emily Roberts took Team 5th and their place to the NSEA Plate Championships.
It was a real delight to have Oliver Dodman back in the team and in the 1.10 horse he showed great skill in taking indiv 5th Place over a tough track and booking his place at the NSEA plate championships.
A huge thank you to all the Team parents and riders who made the day what it was and to Rectory Farm Arena, Pleasance, Ella and the whole team who ran the day so beautifully.
