Gabriel Mattle continues his run of incredible achievements Show Jumping. Competing at the very prestigious Pony of the Year competition at Arena UK, a 3-day event which riders from across the UK have to qualify and be invited to jump at. Gabriel showed skilful and talented riding to take 5th place on the first day in the 1m final taking him onto day 2. Gabriel and his new pony Millie rode an excellent and calculated round to clinch 2nd place against over 71 finalists. This combination continues to go from strength-to-strength and are an exciting combination to have in the Dean close equestrian teams.

Fenella Cradock achieved an incredible double success at the NSEA Grass Roots Dressage Finals on 5th April held at Kings Bromyard Equestrian. Fenella and her pony Newtonhill Prince Albert took 2nd and Reserve Champion in both her Intro and Prelim tests at the championship’s final scoring excellent marks to secure her placings. This achievement was made doubly special as having qualified for these championship finals back in December, the very next day her pony sustained a potential career ending tendon injury. Fenella spent many hours in all weathers doing his rehabilitation work and was only given all clear from the vets she could train fully for the finals a week before the event. A great result for them both.
