Ever since lockdown began, our wonderful Prep School Deputy Head, Mr Harris, has been raising smiles and lifting the general mood of everyone at Dean Close Preparatory School by arriving at school every Friday, without fail, in an array of fancy dress costumes, to shed some light on what has been very difficult times.

Even though we have been working remotely with pupils through our DeanClose@home project, Dean Close Preparatory School has been open over lockdown, as we we have cared for many children of key workers in order to help in the fight of the recent pandemic.

Mr Harris has made it his mission to keep all of our key worker pupils and pupils working remotely uplifted and in good spirits every Friday by arriving to school or logging on to webcam lessons dressed as the children’s favourite Star-wars characters, a Pirate, and even a Flamingo!…

When all of Pre-Prep and Prep School pupils returned back to school after lockdown restrictions eased for the last few weeks of term, the costumes only became even more elaborate!

Thank you Mr Harris, for supplying a much needed weekly dose of silliness and for constantly putting a smile on all of our faces!

Happy Summer everyone, and stay safe.
