Towards the end of this term it was the Fifth Form’s turn to show off its latest artist pieces at the GCSE Art Showcase and Private View. Set in the BonBernard Gallery, this exhibition showed a lively, colourful and diverse range of pieces produced by the 25 pupils who are currently studying towards their Art GCSE. Artwork ranged from painting, mixed media, photography, ceramic sculpture and 3D pieces. A Private View hosted a large crowd of pupils, teachers, family and friends who came along to view the stunning show.
Head of Art, Caroline Evans, said: “This exhibition is a real celebration of the work that these students have produced during their final year of the GCSE course and showcases some of our best up-and-coming talent. Many of these students will be continuing their art education with us at A level and it will be exciting to see what they go on to achieve.”
