DCPPS Harvest Festival theme this year was ‘Fabulous Food!’  The Harvest celebrations started with the whole school singing together For the Harvest.  We were then treated to each year group presenting songs, starting with Year Two’s lively presentation of Food Glorious Food, dressed as Victorian urchins thinking longingly about food!  After this Nursery and Kittens took to the stage, dancing, shaking percussion instruments and singing about some of their favourite food in the song I like Porridge!  Kindergarten made us laugh with their animated and catchy song Jelly, jelly in my Belly followed by Reception singing Eat Me and Baker Man.  Year One not only sang but also performed a very funny poem, Sprouts, Sprouts, Sprouts which was written by our very own Mr Collier!

During the presentation, the Year Twos explained how our chosen charity, The Trussell Trust (also known as Cheltenham Foodbank), supports families in need and we were very pleased that we had collected so many donations for the charity – 24 carrier bags full of pasta, rice, tins, biscuits and more.  The Foodbank staff were also delighted!

Well done to all the children for such a super performance and a big thank you to parents, family and friends for their support of this worthy cause.
