Pre-Prep recently enjoyed a wonderful ‘Fun in the Forest’ Day. On arrival to Forest School the children were very excited to see the camp fire was lit and listened attentively to the safety instructions before carefully toasting their brioche.

After a lovely snack they explored the activities in the forest. They made some nutritious bird feeders using pine cones and created fantastic dens using the trees and ropes. Once the fire was cooled the children used the charcoal from the fire to make pictures on wooden frames, paper and the trees. As usual the mud kitchen was a firm favourite, where children made marvellous mud pies, gooey gravy sauce and forest fairy cakes for all the woodland animals that live in our forest. It was a wonderful end to the Forest School year and a lovely good bye to our Year Twos.
