At the beginning of June all the children from Kindergarten to Year Two were invited to a special ‘Fun in the Forest’ day.

One of the many highlights was cooking on a campfire. The children all gathered around and took it in turns to cook a pancake or marshmallow and choose some toppings, they were delicious! The children also created some wonderful art work using a Japanese method called ‘Hapa Zome.’ This is a technique that involves extracting colour from plants and leaves by hammering them onto cotton squares. To end the day the children enjoyed their favourite Forest School activities – den building, tree climbing and mini-beast hunting. It was a wonderful day
and a lot fun was had by everyone.
