Clifton College recently held their first gymnastic competition at the City of Bristol Gymnastics Centre. The Prep School sent three teams of five gymnasts each, along with Mrs Thomas and Miss Abel to compete.  The day was divided into two parts with competitions for each gymnast on both the floor and vault interspersed with training on all the other gymnastic equipment with specialized coaches. The girls particularly loved working on the beams, bars and rings.

The competitive element was split into three levels in which the girls did extremely well, both individually and as a team.  As a team Corinna, Caitlin, Chloe, Charlotte and Sienna were placed 2nd  with individual medals for Corinna and Caitlin. Emma was placed 3rd in the vaulting competition for the second tier of the competition and Izzy won the individual competition at this level.

Congratulations to all the girls who took part who were competing against over 150 other competitors from local schools. This was particularly impressive as their floor routines were judged by an Olympic judge!
