A Celebration of Creativity at Pre-Prep’s Valentine’s Art Gallery.
Our Pre-Prep children immersed themselves in a world of creativity, taking inspiration from famous artists and beloved stories to create their own masterpieces.
Kindergarten explored Love Monster by Rachel Bright, a heartwarming story about finding acceptance. They crafted their own unique monsters using puffy paint, googly eyes, sequins, and cut-out shapes.
Reception took inspiration from Jackson Pollock, experimenting with his iconic drip technique to create abstract art based on the theme of love.
Year One studied Georgia O’Keeffe, enlarging flowers to create striking abstract pieces while learning about hot and cold colors, blending techniques, and painting skills.
Year Two brought Henri Rousseau’s rainforest scenes to life. Using watercolors, oil pastels, and felt-tip pens, they layered their compositions to create depth, making hidden animals 'pop' from the page.
Meanwhile, our Kittens and Nursery children had a fantastic time enjoying free painting to fun, upbeat music. With big brushes, little hands, and lots of giggles, they created a spectacular floor masterpiece—embracing the joy of movement, color, and creative expression.
To celebrate their hard work, families were invited to view the children’s incredible creations in our special Valentine's Day Art Gallery. Faces filled with joy as children proudly showcased their talents, sharing the inspiration behind their artwork. The event concluded with a fantastic dance performance by our talented Year Two children, bringing the day to a joyful and memorable close.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our wonderful Prep School for sharing their inspiring artwork with us. Seeing your masterpieces on display added an extra special touch to our celebration, and we are so grateful for your contribution.
Thank you for being such wonderful role models for our young artists.
