Dean Close is celebrating outstanding GCSE results this summer.    

Mrs Ali Harber, Head of Dean Close, said: “I would like to share my warmest congratulations to all our pupils in Fifth Form on achieving this excellent set of results.  We are extremely proud of each and every pupil and it is a great privilege to celebrate these outstanding results with you today. Every pupil’s journey is hugely important to us, and these results are a culmination of years of hard work, dedication and commitment.  We are very excited to welcome this cohort of pupils into Lower Sixth for what will be the most exciting chapter in their education so far.” 

Deputy Head Pastoral, Mrs Jacquie Davis, added “Across the entire year group, there are so many wonderful individual success stories to celebrate.  Every result tells a story, and we are immensely proud of the determination, resilience and hard work shown by all of our pupils in achieving their best.”  

Deputy Head Academic, Mr James Hole, added: “Thank you to all our staff and parents for their dedication in helping our pupils achieve these excellent results today.  Almost half of the grades at Dean Close were 9-7 and an impressive number of pupils have achieved eight or more grade 8s and 9s.  Special congratulations to our pupils who have achieved 100% grade 7-9s across all their GCSEs, particularly those who achieved a truly impressive clean sweep of 9s in ten or more subjects. Congratulations also to our Fifth Form pupils achieving such excellent results in Advanced Mathematics.”
