Dean Close School Celebrates A Level Success

Dean Close School is today celebrating the exceptional achievements of the Class of 2025, whose A Level results reflect both

individual brilliance and collective endeavour. The outcomes are the result of years of dedication, resilience, and the unfailing support of families and teachers, and they mark a significant milestone in the lives of this outstanding year group.

Head of School, Mr Bradley Salisbury, said:

“This year’s results are a story of exceptional individual achievements and whilst we know that today’s grades do not define their future, it is a day of celebration for the Class of 2025. There are a multitude of success stories which bear testament to the hard work and resilience of the pupils, the commitment and expertise of teachers and the unfailing support of parents.”

Outstanding Success in UCAS, Apprenticeships and Careers

As they look ahead, Dean Close pupils are preparing to take their place in a wide variety of destinations that reflect both ambition and individuality:

Supporting Every Pupil

The School recognises that results day can feel daunting for some. Mr Salisbury acknowledged:

“There are also those for whom this is a difficult day and I know that our support teams are fully engaged in helping them find perspective and to plot a course forward. It is easy to forget how much grade boundaries and individual marks fill the hearts and minds of those receiving results today and it is a privilege for teachers and tutors to help and advise those who need it.”

At Dean Close, every pupil is encouraged to see beyond the numbers, recognising that determination, values, and character will shape their future as much as grades.

Looking Ahead

As this exceptional year group moves on, the School celebrates both their achievements and their promise.

“It is exciting to see this year group stepping into the next stage of their lives, carrying with them both the skills they have developed and the values they have embraced. The challenges ahead are real — universities face significant pressures, and the world of work is being reshaped by technological, political, and cultural change — but I am confident they will meet them with determination. We look forward to following their journeys and celebrating their future successes.”
