After what was a very successful NSEA National Finals the DCF equestrian squad regrouped and contested the two day Dean Close Sponsored NSEA Arena Eventing shows at Rectory Farm, 25th & 26th October. Dean Close Equestrian Programme has developed a solid and growing following; and over the two days we hosted 54 schools and over 250 rounds of Arena Eventing in the main arena in lovely autumn sunshine.
The course was set in the main arena over 8 show jumps and then moved into a simulated X- County Fences with a total of 20 fences to tackle within an optimum time it was a tough ask even for some of the most established combinations.
On the Friday DCF was able to put some strong teams, the riders all worked hard but they just couldn't quite achieve a team top 2 place to secure their National Qualifications for Arena Eventing.

80- Team -5th - Fenella C, Rose W, Maddie MS and Wiliam G

Poppy WC - 2nd - 80cms

Saturday was another full day of competition. Attacking our second day with fresh eyes, some fresh combinations and horses and new strategies for the tough course it was all to play for. The DCF squad did not disappoint and dominated the day with outstanding team and individual results in all the classes.

With all these riders and teams securing their NSEA Arena Eventing National Finals qualifications; it was a great two days of riding by all the foundation riders. Feedback from the days was really positive from the schools, parents and riders in attendance and it was a great way to show case the DCF growth and talent.
