Remove Global Citizenship Class Hosts Successful Clothes Swap Event

Tower Lawn was full of activity on Saturday as the Remove Global Citizenship class organised and hosted a successful Clothes Swap event as part of their iGCSE Global Citizenship qualification.

The initiative encouraged pupils to think differently about fashion by promoting the benefits of reusing clothing and reducing textile waste. Pupils donated high quality clothing and, in return, could either swap their items for something new to them or receive a green chit to use at a later date.

The event provided a practical opportunity for pupils to explore the environmental impact of fast fashion and clothing waste while demonstrating how small changes in consumer habits can make a positive difference.

At the end of the event, all remaining clothing was donated to Oxfam, a charity chosen by the Global Citizenship class because of its commitment to tackling poverty, inequality and other global issues that the pupils have been studying throughout their course.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who donated, swapped and supported the event. Your generosity helped make it a fantastic success while contributing to a more sustainable future.
