Senior School Pupils Spark Curiosity in Inspire Us Talk
It was a pleasure to welcome pupils from the Senior School to Dean Close Prep this week as part of the Inspire Us talks, a programme designed to broaden perspectives and ignite curiosity among our Year 5 and 6 pupils.
We were delighted to host Elizabeth and Charlie, who each delivered engaging and thought provoking presentations on their chosen topics. Elizabeth explored the concept of nature versus nurture, encouraging pupils to think deeply about the roles of curiosity and empathy in understanding others. Her talk highlighted the importance of looking beyond first impressions and recognising that there is often more to people than meets the eye.
Charlie followed with an insightful presentation on 'The Power of Music'. She demonstrated how music can influence emotions and shape our thoughts, explaining how different styles and tempos can evoke a wide range of feelings. Pupils were fascinated to learn more about the connection between music and the brain, and how something as simple as a melody can have a profound impact.
A huge thank you to Elizabeth and Charlie for sharing their enthusiasm and expertise, leaving our pupils feeling inspired and eager to learn more.
