Speech Day Celebrations 2025

Dean Close School’s Speech Day offered a joyful and uplifting close to a remarkable year, uniting pupils, staff, and families in a vibrant celebration of talent, creativity, and community spirit.
This year’s guest of honour, Warden of the Dean Close Foundation Emma Taylor, captivated the audience with her engaging and thoughtful reflections. As she bids farewell to the Foundation, her words left a lasting impression, embodying the values she has stood for throughout her time here.

The day was alive with activity, from a bustling fun fair that delighted visitors of all ages to the stunning displays in the Bonbernard Art Gallery. The artwork on show was a testament to the imagination and skill of our pupils, capturing their creative spirit and dedication to their craft.

Musical excellence took centre stage with a dazzling performance of SIX: The Musical, a dynamic, pupil-led production that highlighted not only the extraordinary talent of our young performers but also their confidence, creativity, and bold leadership in bringing the show to life.
Sporting events throughout the day brought

excitement and energy—from the ever-popular Quad Run to competitive cricket matches. These moments highlighted the camaraderie and resilience that are fundamental to the Dean Close community.
Speech Day was not just a celebration; it was a shared moment of pride, reflection, and anticipation for the future. A heartfelt thank-you goes to all who contributed to this memorable day.
From everyone at Dean Close, we wish you a happy and relaxing summer ahead.
