Sport, Teamwork and Fun at Dean Close Skills Day

Last week, Dean Close was delighted to welcome pupils from Berkhampstead for an energetic and engaging Skills Day.

The afternoon saw the boys taking part in a lively rugby skills session, while the girls enjoyed a hockey masterclass on the astro pitches. Both sessions were led by our professional coaches, who provided expert guidance, helping pupils to develop their confidence, sharpen techniques and experience the fun of high-quality training.

Afterwards, the pace picked up as everyone came together for rugby and hockey tournaments against other prep schools. With matches played on our Big Field and Astros, there was a wonderful atmosphere of competition and camaraderie. Pupils showed determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout, making the day not just about winning but about learning and enjoying the spirit of the games.

It was a fantastic day that combined skill-building with the excitement of competition, and we were delighted to see so much enthusiasm, energy and enjoyment from all involved.
