In September last year, Alison Cavaliero the principal of Leiths Academy got in touch to ask if they could film a marketing video for Leiths using the Dean Close Cookery School and our Upper Sixth pupils.  We organised for them to come out from London with a film crew in November.  The crew spent the day with us in the Cookery School and filmed our Sixth Form pupils preparing for their canapé event. Katy Barrett said,  “The class were amazing and conducted themselves in such a mature and professional manner and Alison was so pleased with them, as was I!  The film company said the video would be out in January, so we have had quite a wait!”
We are also pleased to announce that the pupils achieved, 5 distinctions, 9 merits and 3 passes, which translates to 8 CTH distinctions and 9 CTH merits.  The CTH distinction holds 36 UCAS points and the merit holds 24.
This year we have one pupil going on to study the culinary arts further to become a chef and another going to a Swiss University to study Hospitality.
