Charity Event: ‘Wear a Hat Day’ and Cake Sale (all parents)

On Friday 29th March, in support of the final event of Brain Tumour Awareness Month, all pupils are encouraged to wear a hat of their choice to school. Pupils will need to pay £1 for the privilege, which will be collected in Houses at morning registration. In addition, throughout next week, Wear a Hat Day pin badges will be on sale at break time in the front office (cost £1.00).

Cake Sale

To coincide with ‘Wear a Hat Day’, we are going to hold a magnificent cake sale on Thursday 28th March, 4:30pm on the CPA. This will be to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research. Pupils are encouraged to bake and make cakes, large and small, for this special end of term event and to bring them to the Art Room on Thursday morning. Pupils are allowed to bring in up to £3.00, in a named purse which they can leave with their House parent during the day. Parents are also warmly invited to come and buy cakes at the end of the day.

Archie Pickering (Year 6) is happy to supply free range eggs for your baking and is giving 50% of his profit to charity – I/2 dozen is £1.00. Please pass on your order to him via Oaksey House.

Family Space Blind Auction (all parents)

Our chosen charity for this year, Family Space, have received a donation of two enclosure tickets to the Cheltenham Race Meeting on April 17th, 2019. A blind, sealed auction will be held at school to raise the highest amount we can for the tickets.

If you would like to enter the auction, please give your sealed bid to the front office before Wednesday 27th March, 10.00am. The highest bid will be the winner and they will be notified later that day. In the event of a draw, the joint winners will be informed and asked to provide a final increase to their bid. The highest will then win.

Why not join in and help boost the Family Space funds in this way?
