Trinity Term Calendar

Due to the uncertainty that exists surrounding the start of the Trinity Term and the associated calendar events, we have taken the decision not to print a Trinity Term Calendar at this stage. We will send you an updated link to our online calendar when there is more clarity.

Access to the School in the holidays

It is with regret that following Government guidelines relating to social distancing we have been advised by the local police that the school site must be closed to all non-staff.

Dean Close is not a site that can be used for exercising, social gathering or social engagement.  As a vulnerable site the police may start to include Dean Close on their local patrols to enforce Government guidelines.

If you need access to the School buildings at any time, for example to collect something that has been left behind, please contact the Estates Department on 01242 258050 so that arrangements can be made.

Dean Close Performing Arts Summer Camp 2020

Make a Musical in a Week!

New for 2020, we are delighted to announce the launch of our new Performing Arts Summer Camp!

Monday 24th August – Saturday 29th August 2020

Six days of Drama, Song and Dance, giving students the chance to discover and develop their talents!

Led by Dean Close Prep School, Director of Drama, Lynne Lawrence & Director of Cheltenham Youth Choir, Rachel Bowen, students will rehearse towards a sparkling final production of Beauty & The Beast on Saturday 29th August, on stage in the Centenary Hall supported by the Bacon Theatre tech team.

The age range is 6 – 17 years. School Years 2 – 11 inclusive. Your child is invited to attend an informal audition at Dean Close Preparatory School on Sunday 28th June at 10am in the Drama Suite to determine some of the parts in the production. This is not compulsory and if not convenient, please be assured your child will be fully included in the production.

All children, irrespective of ability and experience, are welcome on the course. The focus will be on having fun while developing acting, singing and dancing skills. Each day will be action packed as they prepare to perform for Family & Friends at the end of the week!
